I’m a third-generation insurance professional and CEO of James E. Moore Insurance Agency, a company my grandparents founded in 1954 with a commitment to care, clarity, and community. I joined the agency in 2009 after building experience in underwriting and marketing, and stepped into the CEO role in 2020 with a focus on modernizing operations while staying true to our roots. I hold industry designations including CIC, CLCS, API, and AINS, and currently serve on several national and regional insurance advisory boards. I am an inaugural member of the ISU Steadfast AI Council, a WIN Member (Women’s Insurance Agency Executives Network), and a proud graduate of Leadership Wilmington. Rooted in my family’s legacy, James E. Moore Insurance Agency continues to grow and adapt while staying true to our values. In 2025, our agency was recognized as a Best Practices Agency by the Big “I” (Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America).
Before my professional career, I was a Division I volleyball player at UNC Asheville from 1999 to 2002 and at UNC Wilmington in 2002, where I also served as co-captain of the team. Coming from a long line of athletes, I learned that leadership means showing up for your team and lifting others to succeed. Those lessons are the same ones I carry into client relationships and community partnerships.
Community service has always been central to my life, including more than a decade with Keep New Hanover County Beautiful as vice president, and roles with the UNCW Alumni Board and the YWCA Women of Achievement committee.
At my core, I believe insurance should feel personal. We’re part of this community, and the way we show up matters. Our clients deserve more than a policy. They deserve Moore.
