Co-owner of James E. Moore Insurance Agency in Wilmington, NC, with Adrienne Moore, Jim served as president and owner from 1974 to 2020. Former president of Wilmington Association of Independent Insurance Agents, former Vice Chair of NC Insurance Underwriting Association (NC Beach Plan), member of several insurance companies’ agents’ advisory councils. Jim is the former President of the Board of Directors of Wilmington Family YMCA and a board member for 30 years, and the Vice Chair of the Greater Wilmington Sports Hall of Fame. Jim graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1966 with a BA in Psychology.
