When Bailey stepped into the role of Chief Morale Officer (CMO) in December 2020, she had large paw prints to fill. Mason, the agency's first CMO, had set a high bar. Although young and inexperienced, Bailey gradually claimed her role. These days she eagerly slips on her work collar and every Monday morning expresses such joy in reuniting with everyone that it lifts all our spirits.

Bailey greets new experiences and new people with polite curiosity — and abiding hope that the encounter results in playing and/or eating. The most frequent comment people make is, “She’s just a sweetheart.” Despite her even temperament, however, Bailey does single out a few people to lavish with over-the-top, laughter-inducing attention. Our part-time receptionist, Mel, is one of them. Whenever she is at the front desk, so is Bailey. (We suspect their bond is reinforced by treats of fresh blueberries and carrot sticks.)

Away from the office, Bailey’s life is just as rich. She enjoys car rides and maintains a busy social calendar with her many 4-legged BFFs. Her favorite activity is anything involving water: rain, puddles, lawn sprinklers, splash pads — even baths. At day's end, Bailey falls deep asleep, often on her back with all four paws in the air. Both on and off the job, awake or asleep, Bailey commits to every moment and every opportunity, reminding us all to do the same.
